BSB50920 Diploma of Quality Auditing

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate their own work and/or the work of a team.   This course is for people who work in a wide range of specialised and managerial quality audit vocations, including planning, conducting and evaluating quality improvements, and organising and supporting quality audit systems. You will complete core quality auditing units as well as a choice of electives in the areas of management, project management and workplace effectiveness, among others.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification however, applicants will benefit from having completed a Certificate IV in Business, or relevant workplace experience.

Core Units

This course consists of a total of 12 units. 4 Core Units plus 8 elective units which consist of;

  • 2 elective units must be selected from Group A
  • 2 elective units must be selected from Group B
  • for the remaining 4 elective units:
  • up to 4 units may be selected from Groups A and B
  • if not listed, up to 2 units may be selected from a Certificate IV from this or any other currently endorsed Training Package qualification or accredited course
  • if not listed, up to 4 units may be selected from a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from this or any other currently endorsed Training Package qualification or accredited course.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

Are you eligible for RPL?

What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?  Recognition is a process of acknowledging previously completed skills, qualifications, knowledge or other experience relevant to your particular course. If you previously completed such modules, this may reduce the overall amount of learning or course units required that may allow you to achieve your qualification sooner.

If you believe that you have gained recognition through experience of your skills, knowledge or experience as part of your previous part-time, full-time or casual work, you may be eligible to apply.  To apply for RPL, you can contact us for more information.

Requirements for RPL

You will need to provide evidence to the assessor at Oz Health Safety and Training to demonstrate that you have the skills and knowledge required to meet the requirements of the course you are enrolled in to receive credit.  Evidence for RPL that you submit must be current and may include:

  • Letters and references, including confirmation from your employers, clients or community groups
  • References from your paid or unpaid work experience
  • Samples of your work, including reports, articles or publications

Copies of original certificates or other documents must be certified by a Justice of the Peace (JP). Alternatively, you may bring the original documents to be sighted by the assessor to certify your copies.

You may also be required to undertake an interview, practical assessment or challenge tasks to demonstrate that your skills are current.
