This unit of competency describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to work safety at heights. This course is appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to perform work at heights. Work Safely at Heights will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to conduct a quality risk assessment of the working environment.
Our working from heights course also provides you or your staff with practical experience and knowledge on how to safely conduct work related activities from heights with the focus on fall prevention rather than fall arrest.

Workers who require additional training and knowledge of working safely at heights.
There are currently no prerequisites however, it is advisable that course participants have at least a reasonable level of fitness and a desire to work outdoors.
The qualification does not have an expiry date however Refresher training may be required as per industry standards or employer requirements.
This unit of competence will be assessed. The assessment will be based on the principles of CBT (competency-based training). A successful outcome for this certificate will be determined by a range of different methods including written submission of work, observation of simulated and practical activities, structured questioning or discussions.
Upon successful completion of this training course, participants will be enabled to Identify legislation, regulations and safety requirements, Identify scope of task and work activities, Manage hazards, Identify safety systems and equipment, Safely access work area, Conduct work at heights safely, Monitor safety equipment and risk treatments. Apply emergency procedures, Finalise operations, Clear work area and store tools and equipment.
